Update on Shutdown and FY19 Government Funding

US CapitolToday, senior congressional staff met with Vice President Pence and senior administration staff to discuss re-opening the government and border security. Reports are that little progress was made and that they will meet again tomorrow. As you know, the President indicated yesterday the government shutdown might continue for a very long time, even years. It was reported today that a White House official indicated that if no agreement is reached by the middle of next week, the shutdown could last until the end of January.
