161 Members of Congress send a letter supporting a pay increase for federal workers in 2019.

On Friday, I notified you that several Members of Congress had sent letters to the President or House and Senate leaders in support of a pay increase for federal workers for 2019. These letters, spurred by the President’s letter in August that formally implements the January 2019 federal employee pay freeze, were led by Representative Gerry Connolly (D-VA), Representative Scott Taylor (R-VA), and Representative Jamie Raskin (D-MD). However, the Representative Raskin letter, with 161 signatures and sent to House and Senate leadership asking them to support the Senate-passed 1.9 percent pay increase, was not yet available. Here it is.

NTEU will continue to work with members of the House and Senate to secure a pay increase for 2019. To learn more, please visit the NTEU Legislative Action Center.
