Executive Order Litigation Update

The court now intends to issue an opinion in the Executive Order litigation on or before August 24, 2018.

Wooden gavelAs I previously informed you, NTEU counsel and counsel from other unions will present argument in the D.C. federal district court tomorrow in connection with complaints filed to challenge the three Executive Orders issued on May 25, 2018. The court had anticipated issuing a decision in these four consolidated cases shortly after the July 25 argument. But, due to the number and complexity of the legal issues presented in the briefs, the last of which will be filed today, the court has informed us that it will need additional time to consider the legal issues fully. The court now expects to issue a decision on or before August 24, 2018.

I will keep you informed of further developments as they occur.
