Spread the Word on Harmful Contract Proposals

Employees can’t afford to be silent as HHS proposes cutting key benefits and rights.

barbed wire black and white blur close upHHS employees are in danger of losing a long list of workplace rights, benefits and protections.

This week, NTEU is at the bargaining table fighting HHS proposals to eliminate alternative work schedules, telework, awards, transit subsidies, fair and transparent merit promotion and PMAP procedures, and current reassignment procedures, among other employee rights.

NTEU is fighting back, but we need every employee to stand with us.

  • Please urge every employee—including non-members— to sign our petition to HHS Secretary Alex Azar. Let’s show a united front in our message that employees deserve respect at the bargaining table and in the workplace. A hard copy of the petition will be submitted, with names only, when we have thousands of signatures.
  • Here is a flier you can use to help inform employees of what’s at stake and encourage them to sign our petition.
  • As a reminder, National President Tony Reardon sent a letter last week to HHS
Secretary Alex Azar asking him to rescind the proposals and inviting him to a meeting to get labor-management relations at HHS on the right track.

NTEU is working on multiple fronts to protect HHS employees. Support our efforts to ensure employees are treated with the respect they deserve.
