FDA to Implement New Competent Authority SOP

FDA has provided Article 3 notice to NTEU that it will implement a new SOP regarding Competent Authority Procedure.

Food and Drug Administration (FDA) logoThe FDA has provided Article 3 notice to NTEU that the Office of Human and Animal Food Operations plans to implement a new Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) regarding Competent Authority (CA) Procedure. According to the notice, the SOP will provide a standardized process that is clear and easy for staff to follow. The SOP will impact bargaining unit employees within Foreign Inspection Planning Branch 2; CFSAN Office of Compliance; CFSAN Office of International Affairs; and Office of International Programs (OIP). The proposed SOP and supporting documents are available for employee review and comment through your chapter president.

NTEU has requested a briefing and to bargain this change. If you have any comments or questions, please share them with your chapter president expeditiously so we can bring them up during the briefing.
