FDA Discontinuing Calling Cards in 2020

Man dialing cell phonePer the agency: “After May 2020 telephone calling cards will be discontinued. Employees that travel with their laptop device have Jabber and Voice over IP capability. If employees on travel use hotel phones, they are reimbursed on the travel voucher. OIMT advised that the agency is exploring other options.

As a reminder, the CBA, Article 42, Section 11 -17, regarding foreign inspection trips, states that, “Cell phones, blackberries with cell phone capability, or calling cards will be available for at least one member of an inspection team.
