President Signs Omnibus Appropriations Measure for Remainder of Fiscal Year 2018

Shutdown Threat Averted!

President Donald J. Trump
President Donald J. Trump

The President has now signed the omnibus appropriations measure (H.R. 1625) that was passed by both the U.S. House of Representatives and the U.S. Senate, averting a potential shutdown into the weekend. The measure funds federal agencies for the remainder of fiscal year (FY) 2018.

NTEU is pleased that a third shutdown did not occur, and that agencies have funding through the remainder of the fiscal year.  Rest assured that we will be working closely with Congress to ensure adequate funding for FY 2019, and to block attempts to reduce the federal workforce and to harm employee compensation and bargaining rights in the remainder of the second session of this Congress.
