Here is a letter NTEU sent to the members of the House of Representatives Appropriations Subcommittee on Ag/FDA/Independent Agencies. In it, Tony made our request for appropriate funding for the Food & Drug Administration (FDA) and the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC). The other agencies of HHS are handled by another subcommittee.

Food and Drug Administration (FDA) logoI believe NTEU’s requests are moderate and reasonable. I also believe they are the minimum FDA needs in order to carry out its important mission. I am pleased that, unlike at other agencies, the administration’s position is fairly close to NTEU’s position.

We are at the beginning of the appropriations process for FY 2019. NTEU will continue to work throughout the process to see that agencies whose employees are represented by NTEU have the resources they need.

If you have any questions, please contact your chapter president. Thank you.
