NTEU National President Tony Reardon sent a letter to the U.S. House of Representatives and to the U.S. Senate urging our legislators during negotiations with the White House to provide stable and adequate funding for federal agencies for the remainder of Fiscal Year 2018. In particular, Tony asked Congress to provide relief to federal agencies, and to employees, by lifting the current caps on non-defense discretionary spending (sequestration). Tony also asked our elected officials to act on longer-term funding measures, as careening from one short-term Continuing Resolution (CR) to another does not allow for proper program and budget implementation and constantly interrupts agency activities to address the possibility of a lapse in appropriations. FAIR Act Reintroduced in Congress

Legislation to provide federal employees a 3% pay increase in 2019 is introduced in the House and Senate.

On January 15, our nation will honor and celebrate the life of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., 50 years after his tragic death. This flier celebrates Dr. King as a champion for unions, workers’ rights, and the labor movement.
