People overlapping hands to show unityThe FDA has provided Article 3 notice to NTEU that the Office of Regulatory Affairs (ORA) plans to establish a Workplace Council. According to the notice, the purpose of the Council is to provide leadership, direction and support in fostering a positive work environment for ORA employees. ORA is requesting union participation in the development and implementation of the Council by the involvement of bargaining unit employees. ORA would like to develop and implement the Workplace Council as soon as practicable, but no later than November 31, 2018.

NTEU has requested a briefing to learn more about the Council and how it will impact the existing Labor-Management Cooperation Councils for FDA and ORA. If you have any comments or questions, please contact your chapter president.
