On December 6, 2016, I reported to you that the Employer made several mistakes in processing Union dues per Article 8 of the CBA that resulted in incorrect Union dues charged to some of our members, urging you to check your leave and earnings statements (LES) for similar errors.
So far, reported deviations from the Union dues listed for our chapter have been +/- $0.01, which is to be expected when you consider significant figures and rounding rule differences. Only three members so far have experienced such errors, and only one of them has experienced large overages.
As a result of three grievances, the Employer is actively investigating the root cause of these errors. The remedies we seek in these grievances include the prompt reimbursement of overages to the employees and our chapter, plus interest.
