Provider Change for Some Employees Receiving Credit Monitoring Services

Credit monitoringIf you are covered by ID experts (My IDCare) for the background investigations incident, there is NO CHANGE to your current coverage and NO ACTION is required at this time. However, if you are covered by Winvale/CSID, this coverage will expire on December 1, 2016.

There are approximately 600,000 individuals impacted by the personnel records incident. United States Office of Personnel Management (OPM) logoThese individuals will receive a notification letter from OPM with a 25 digit PIN code, which you will need to re-enroll with the new vendor. If you were also impacted by the background investigations incident, you should have received the PIN notification letter last year.

OPM shared that it has taken steps to ensure that while the change in vendor is taking place, there will be no gaps in identity restoration and identity theft insurance coverage. All individuals enrolled with Winvale/CSID should receive a communication from them, most likely via e-mail.

If you would like to continue receiving credit monitoring services, you need to go to the Cybersecurity Resource Center for information about how to re-enroll.
