OCQPM Integrated Business Center Tool

Food and Drug Administration (FDA) logoThe Food and Drug Administration’s (FDA) Office of Regulatory Affairs (ORA) has provided NTEU with a courtesy notice stating that the ORA Office of Communications and Quality Program Management (OCQPM) Division of Communications (DC) has developed an Integrated Business Center tool to automate the existing OCQPM Purchasing standard operating procedure (OCQPM_IO.001) and forms using the work flow and e-mail notification features in SharePoint.

Microsoft SharePoint logoThe agency plans to provide employees with information on the Integrated Business Center tool on October 14, 2016. A demonstration and user guide for the new tool will be provided to employees prior to implementation to facilitate proper use. The demonstration is expected to occur on October 24, 2016, at the recurring weekly staff meeting for the Public Affairs and Editorial Services Branch (PAEB).

While the FDA is claiming that the implementation of the new tool will have a de minimis impact on bargaining unit employees, NTEU has requested a briefing to verify that this is the case.

I welcome and encourage your feedback on this subject, particularly while we still have a chance to negotiate it on impact and implementation.
