The Shared Vision Project

Responding to a surveyAs I previously shared with you, NTEU is launching a comprehensive research study that will examine what members, leaders, and prospective members want and need from our union. NTEU National President Tony Reardon discussed the Union’s goals in a column in the July issue of the NTEU Bulletin. Next week, you will begin receiving communications with more information about the project and how you can participate.

The first announcement you will receive will allow you to update your contact information. The August 2, edition of the e-Bulletin will also include an article about the project. It will be followed by an announcement to members and bargaining unit employees, giving you the option to opt-out of participating. Beginning the following week, leaders, members and bargaining unit employees will receive the online survey or will be contacted by another method—telephone, mail or a focus group invitation—unless you have opted out.

The communications will explain how to take the survey and provide a deadline for completing the survey.

Everyone’s voice is important. I encourage all employees in our chapter to complete the survey.
