Visiting the FDA Jefferson Laboratories

If you are an FDA bargaining unit employee (BUE) stationed in Arkansas, I hope you can join me in the NCTR building 12 SAB conference room at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, July 20, 2016, for a lunch-and-learn presentation about health and safety. Please bring your lunch to make the most of our time together.

Additionally, I will be generally available from 8:00 a.m. through 4:30 p.m. that day to meet with you one-on-one. I want to know what I can do for you. Just send me an email with your proposed time to meet. I will schedule appointments in the order the emails arrive.

This is the year when we negotiate a new CBA, so I want to know what you want to improve in our current one.

I also want to know about your efforts to recruit new members. After all, more members translates to more bargaining power to negotiate a better agreement.

Please make sure you always request permission from your supervisor leave your duties to visit with a Union representative in accordance with Article 5, Section 9, of the CBA. The general nature of your visit is contract interpretation.

I am also looking for more stewards in the Jefferson Labs. Please let me know who you think would make a good steward, in your opinion.

Remember that a Union is a group of employees going before their employers for better working conditions and benefits. This means that we are the Union.

I am looking forward to meeting with you.
